Does Toy Story 5 have a post-credit scene?

Two, and both sit inside the credits rather than after them — but the second runs to the very last name, so the full sit is required.

The mid-credits scene picks up the next-generation Buzz Lightyear units the film scattered. Forbes describes children coming off a school bus onto the playground, the boy who had been sitting alone getting a Buzz of his own, and the principal ending up with one too; SlashFilm puts it as one Buzz descending "upon a lonely kid on a playground at school" before "they all fly down into the hands of children." The drone toys are doing precisely what five films have argued toys are for. Then the camera finds one more kid, unzipping a backpack, producing an upgraded Emperor Zurg — who delivers the tag's only line, "We meet again, my son!" Wikipedia's cast notes credit the voice to director Andrew Stanton, reprising the role he played in Toy Story 2 "in an uncredited cameo appearance."

It is played for the laugh rather than the threat, and it is the only forward-looking thing in the picture. Whether it is a seed for a sixth film or the franchise signing off on its oldest running joke, nobody at Pixar has said.

The second beat runs to the end of the roll. Lilypad — the tablet that spends the movie as the antagonist — leads the toys through the friendship rap she assembled earlier in the film. SlashFilm explains the method: she recorded Jessie's words, translated them into Spanish and turned them into "a rhythmic rap called 'Tryna Make Friends' by Rappin' Cowgirl." Bad Bunny's Pizza with Sunglasses anchors the performance, and Forbes lists Rex, Trixie, Dolly, Mrs. Potato Head, Forky and Mr. Pricklepants joining in, with SlashFilm adding Hamm and Buttercup. Given how little screen time most of those characters get in the feature proper, the number works as a curtain call rather than a gag.

Neither scene resolves anything the film left open. If you only have patience for one, take the Zurg tag — it is the one people will argue about. If this really is the last Toy Story, though, the rap is the more honest ending: the entire toy box on screen at once, doing a bit, for no reason other than that they can.
