Does Toy Story have a post-credit scene?

Toy Story has no post-credit scene. The film ends on Woody and Buzz in the back of the car at Christmas, the joke lands, and the credits roll clean to the end. There is nothing mid-credits, nothing after the final card, and no reason to sit through the roll unless you want to read it.

This trips people up more than almost any other Pixar title, and the reason is the sequels. Toy Story 2 (1999) closed with a now-famous reel of fake outtakes — Woody flubbing lines, Buzz corpsing, the Prospector's screen test — cut in over the credits, and A Bug's Life had done the same thing the year before. Those blooper reels were a genuine event at the time, and they anchored a memory of 'the Toy Story one with the outtakes' that gets retroactively attached to the 1995 original. It never had them.

Toy Story 3 (2010) and Toy Story 4 (2019) both do carry material inside the credits — Toy Story 3 runs illustrated epilogue sequences showing the toys settling in at Bonnie's, and Toy Story 4 has several short scenes threaded through the roll, including a final one after the last card. So if you are working through the series in order, the correct advice is: leave whenever you like during the first one, and stay put for the third and fourth.

What the original does have is a first-act payoff worth rewatching rather than a post-credits stinger. The film was built so tightly that the things that look like throwaway gags in the opening — the Luxo ball, the plate on the minivan, the books on the shelf — are the closest thing it has to bonus content, and they are all in the first twenty minutes rather than the last two.
