Does Us have a post-credit scene?

There is nothing after the credits and nothing hidden inside them. Jordan Peele has not used a credits scene in any of his features, and Us is the least likely candidate for one — the film's whole architecture is a trap closing, and a stinger would be a door propped back open.

What you get instead is a song. The credits roll to Minnie Riperton's "Les Fleurs", the 1970 Charles Stepney production that blooms into full orchestral soul, and its placement is the film's last piece of doubling. You have already heard it: it plays under the Hands Across America commercial on the television in the 1986 prologue, in the opening minutes, long before you had any reason to remember it. Peele brings it back to score the final aerial image and carries it into the crawl, so the outermost frame of the movie is the same piece of music at both ends.

The last shot does the work a stinger normally would, and does it better. Once you have seen it you cannot unsee what the film has been telling you since the boardwalk, and every prop in the prologue retroactively becomes evidence — the VHS spines, the Thriller shirt, the ambulance in the closet. There is nothing left to reveal in thirty seconds of black.

There is also no sequel to seed. Us was conceived as a standalone, its ending leaves no thread hanging that a second film would need to pick up, and Peele has worked on unrelated stories since. If you stay through the credits, stay for Riperton.
