Real-World Date Reference
A date visible on a calendar, gravestone, newspaper, boarding pass or computer screen that is chosen rather than arbitrary — the film's own release day, a birthday of someone on the crew, an anniversary from the source material's history. Art departments have to put something on the prop, so they use the slot to say something. These are among the easiest eggs to verify and the easiest to over-read.

This list grows with the catalogue: every time a new title is combed through, its eggs are tagged and any Real-World Date Reference instances land here automatically. If a film you know belongs on this page is missing, it is almost certainly because we have not covered the film yet — tell us which one to do next.
