Does Five Nights at Freddy's 2 have a post-credit scene?

Two scenes, and they are split — one mid-credits, one after the final card — so plan on sitting through the whole roll. The first arrives early enough that most of the audience is still seated. The second is audio-only and plays after the last name has gone, which is where the room usually empties.

The mid-credits scene returns to the original pizzeria, now a rotting shell. Three young men are stripping the place for props for a haunted attraction and find something in a back room worth taking: the decayed Spring Bonnie suit William Afton died inside at the end of the first film. They wrap it in plastic sheeting and carry it out. As they leave, one of the suit's eyes flickers on and a low growl comes up on the soundtrack.

If that reads like a specific promise, it is. Hauling Afton's corpse-in-a-suit to a horror attraction is the entire premise of Five Nights at Freddy's 3, whose setting is Fazbear's Frights — meaning the film has just walked Springtrap onto the board for the third movie without once saying his name.

The post-credits scene is a recording rather than a scene. A cassette message from Henry Emily plays for Mike. Henry identifies himself as Afton's former business partner, admits he has kept old animatronic hardware that could be used defensively, and begins explaining the Marionette before something breaks off-microphone. His last words before the tape dies are a warning that she is coming — the Marionette, and by extension Charlotte and Vanessa. Longtime players know that voice as the Cassette Man, and hearing it in live-action is the clearest signal yet that the films intend to build toward Henry and William's shared history rather than route around it.

Two threads leave the theatre with you, then: Afton resurrected as Springtrap, and Henry stepping out of game lore into the movie continuity as the survivors' guide. Neither is optional if you plan to watch the third film.
