Does Iron Lung have a post-credit scene?

Iron Lung has no post-credit scene and no mid-credit scene. There is nothing after the final card, and nothing tucked into a gap in the crawl. Once the last shot fades, the credits run over Andrew Hulshult's score and that is the end of the film. If you are timing a train, you can leave when the names start.

The question gets asked constantly for two reasons, and both are worth answering. The first is the ending itself: the film closes on a deliberately unresolved image rather than a resolution, and audiences reasonably assume a stinger is coming to tell them how it landed. It is not. The ambiguity is the ending — Mark Fischbach built the whole film around a rule that the camera never leaves the submarine, so there is no vantage point from which a tidy epilogue could even be shot. The second reason is Fischbach's own track record. His YouTube specials trained a very large audience to expect hidden extra endings, alternate paths and secret material appended after the apparent finish. That expectation does not carry over here; this is a conventionally structured feature that ends where it ends.

What is genuinely worth staying for is the cast list, which is doing real work. Alanah Pearce is credited as "A Familiar Voice" rather than a character, Rahul Kohli, Ethan Nestor and Valkyrae are all billed flatly as "Additional Voices," and Mick Lauer's character is credited with an entire sentence — "The Guy Who Told You to Cross the Wires" — lifted from the fan vocabulary around the source game's hidden terminal. Game creator David Szymanski appears under his own name. Read as a group, those credits quietly explain how the film's chorus of radio voices was assembled without spoiling which one is which.

And if you want the thing the film is actually hiding, it is not after the credits — it is in the middle. Fischbach has said publicly that he buried secrets in the background of the long submarine-piloting sequence and that nobody had found them. That is the scene to rewatch, and since the film arrived on YouTube Movies on 29 May 2026, pausing it is finally practical.
