Does KPop Demon Hunters have a post-credit scene?

No post-credits scene and no mid-credits scene — but KPop Demon Hunters is one of the rare films where skipping the credits still costs you something.

The beat people mistake for a stinger arrives just before the crawl. After the new Honmoon seals and HUNTR/X step out into the crowd, the film cuts to a Seoul street where Derpy, the enormous and permanently baffled blue tiger, and Sussie, the six-eyed magpie in the hat, are back together and loose in the human world with no master left to serve. Jinu is gone; his pets are not. It is the quietest suggestion in the film that the barrier between the two worlds is more porous than the victory implies, and it plays before the title card rather than after it.

Then the credits, and the reason to stay is musical. The version of Takedown that scores the crawl is not the one heard in the film. That one is sung by EJAE, Audrey Nuna and REI AMI, the vocalists behind Rumi, Mira and Zoey. The credits version is performed by Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung of Twice — a real K-pop group covering a fictional K-pop group's diss track aimed at a fictional boy band. Sony had already folded Twice into the film's reality: their actual single Strategy sits on the chart Bobby scrolls past in the first act. The credits close that loop.

What comes next is left open rather than teased. The rebuilt Honmoon glows blue instead of gold, which the film flags as imperfect. Baby and Romance are never shown destroyed. Rumi's demon father is never named. Netflix greenlit a sequel off the film's viewership, not off a credits sting — there was nothing to sting. Leave whenever you like, but let Takedown play.
