Physical evidence of a sequence that was cut: a prop that no longer has a scene to belong to, a costume change with no on-screen cause, a name in the credits for a character never seen, a line of dialogue referring to an event the film no longer contains. Not planted on purpose, which makes it the one category here that is an artefact rather than an intention — but it reliably reveals the film that was almost made.
